Out of concern for the health and comfort of our employees, we engage in environmental activities:
- we implement the Sustainable Development Goals and European Green Deal of the European Commission,
- we perform activities to reduce emissions and support energy efficiency in buildings,
- we have our own Gardening Section, which takes care of green areas on our campus,
- we act to retain and use rainwater on our campus: we collect rainwater in special containers and use it to water plants,
- we install sanitary devices that allow to use less water,
- we limit the consumption of plastic - on campus there are wall dispensers from which you can fill a reusable cup or bottle with water,
- we are extending research on bees - you will find several hives in the vicinity of the buildings of the Faculty of Chemistry,
- we opened EkoTech Center, which deals with shaping a harmonious, sustainable space of human life,
- we are building the Eco-innovation Centre, which will be one of the most important research units in Poland dealing with the development of eco-friendly solutions and environmental technologies.
How can you help protect the environment??
- segregate waste - there are specially marked containers in the buildings,
- limit the use of plastic - on campus there are wall dispensers from which you can fill a reusable cup or bottle with water,
- come to the university by bicycle - on campus you will find bicycle stands and bicycle repair stations,
- use eco envelopes for internal correspondence.
