At Gdansk University of Technology, the principles and values of equality between men and women, elimination of inequalities and equality in all areas and activities of the university are respected.

Pursuant to Article 183a of the Labour Code, employees should be treated equally with regard to the establishment and termination of the employment relationship, terms and conditions of employment, promotion and access to training to improve their professional qualifications, in particular without regard to gender, age, disability, race, religion, nationality, political beliefs, union membership, ethnic origin, religion, sexual orientation, employment for a definite or indefinite period of time, full-time or part-time employment.

The obligation of equal treatment of employees by employers and the prohibition of discrimination against them derive primarily from the provisions of the Polish Constitution and international agreements ratified by Poland.
